I know dude has been banned since he put this out, but let me add my 2cents here. I apologize for the length.
there is absolutely no incentive for an Asian to put you on instead of an (ABC / ABK) or a smart, but poor mainland Asian person. It’s wishful thinking. No amount of bootlicking and being a “different negro” or being the Asian equivalent of when white folk call you an “articulate”
black person will get you in the door.
I do still think their languages are valuable;however, I think you, as a black person, would do far better going directly to Asia as an
AMERICAN who speaks their language and go connect the native Asians to the US. From my experiences abroad, they see us as Americans, before seeing us as black or African Americans. So your knowledge of the US and your social tact within their society would be the value you bring to an Asian company. Think of what Marco Polo did by joining the Chinese court as a literate, white connection for the Chinese to EU. He would’ve been another white fool if he didn’t learn Chinese.
The other alternative is to simply do what black people have been doing to get into cac companies all these years. Just be the best, most overqualified person in the room in whatever specificalty you do, to the extent that they can’t afford to NOT hire you. From this standpoint, your value would get you in the door. Think of Michael Jordan in sports or Robert smith in finance in the US. Or maybe what Dennis Rodman did with the North Koreans. The only caveat here, is that this model has a very limited amount of slots.
Finally, one dude on here said starting your own bussiness will negate your need to deal with Asians. I disagree. Do y’all remember those 2 black women in California who wanted to get in on the weave game?
They wanted to reclaim the black market segment, however , they quickly found out that the Koreans/Malaysians got the market for supplies and production on lock. Since we obviously can’t source the straight hair from ourselves, anybody seeking to enter this market must be cliqued in with Asians. Imagine if those two black women could speak the language, travel to Asia, negotiate a better deal or even sew dessension in the Korean ranks abroad using Korean language and internal politics.... They couldve forced the weave market open, like commodore Mathew Perry forced open japanese markets in the 1850s.
‘We face similar struggles in other bussiness ventures because most of the world’s production is based in Asia. Here is where your Asian language of choice becomes useful to your black bussiness.
