Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, and maybe Pikmin are as far as I would take it.There doesn't need to be a huge Smash Bros styled crossover at the end, just drop little hints, cameos easter eggs, and references to other Nintendo franchises in each movie.


Anything not made by Shigeru Miyamoto can take place in it's own universe though
A live-action Metroid would be fire if done right

I can't imagine this being very great. The games are already quite fun and exciting. I don't know how a film could compare.

I've always thought a Zelda movie would have incredible potential if it had a really visionary director and an epic runtime. Like if you gave the job to Denis Villeneuve, somebody who could bring that world to life in live action (obviously with CG as well) and not try to make it a kiddie or family movie.
