People act like LOX is better than Wu. Crazy. They dope on their own and as a group, but they never dropped a 5 mic album like Mobb Deep, Public Enemy, or a Wu. They did a great disservice to their fans for not dropping that groundbreaking album that could have changed hip hop.

Some people overhype them (slightly) cause of their street background. Dope music is dope music, bottom line, but your street background doesn't make you any better as an MC.

HNIC aged alot better than GAAG, altho that was a dope album

the paperwork definately is the main reason they dont do group music, but whats up with a tape? instead of the last 3 projects from each of them id have taken a 10 track group tape. Jada and Sheek dont make good enough music for them to have a decade + of solos, and Styles puts out alot of filler himself

yeah, that joint with MOP was hard, that hook. the agaag song was real sh!t too, can't front. the beats on that album was wack to me though man, i only liked like 5 of them beats. plus i never really thought Styles P was all that nice anyway. i don't know g, just aint feelin that album.

some Yonkers nikkas get love from everybody in almost every hood in all the burroughs AND upstate. LOX is def top 5 in NYC and NY. And i dont think that classic album arguemtn applies to the LOX. They been holding it down for dam near 13 years on just mixtapes alone. They dont have a classic album but they been consistent as fukk in other circuits.

Now Back the The Lox, a group that has ZERO classics between them, including as a group. They are the epitome of being talked up much more than their resume exhibits.

^^I keep saying that shyt all the time. LOX gets more respect from street cred and being "hard from the streets" than the music itself (though it gets mentioned a close second). Gangstarr is another all time great group.
