Jeezy's biggest first week came December 2006 with 360K+ sold. Anyone familiar with Def Jam knows they will release big name artists around Christmas time. Being the ideal stocking stuffer has nothing to do with it. The Holiday ruch provides added incentive to rush to the stores and buy. A lot of sales increase during the holiday season not just the ones released during the holiday season.
In the industry, labels are always pushing releasing during the 4th quarter specifically the period beginning with Black Friday and ending with the New Year.
GTFOH college students are broke and not buying fukking cds like that.
Don't get me wrong Ross' numbers are nice.........FOR A fukkING ROOKIE but this is his 5th album and he's at the pinnacle of his popularity. I mean the promotion and marketing this man had was astronomical. He been promoting this album for a good 7-9 months. Rich Forever had this nikka buzzing for a minute along with the endless features, Self Made 2, Meek Mill mixtape, Stalley mixtape I mean these nikkas been all over for a minute with countless internet videos interviews hell even MTV gave him the title "Hottest MC In The Game"..you mean to tell me all of that can't get you more than 217K????

I'm not going to get into any debates. Ross did decent numbers in my opinion. I also like his music. But, it would be an insult to call him the biggest MC in the game right now when we all can name at least eight artists that can sell more or just as much he can.
I didn't like the way he tried to bury Jeezy to collect a fake W on his fraudulent resume. And there was a whole lot of dikkeaters that fell in line for no reason other than they found a "new nikka" to ride with. Fukk Ross he lost.
