Federer won most of his slams when his main competetion was Andy Roddikk, Lleyton Hewitt and David Nalbandian :mjlol:
Two slam winners and one of the most talented players in the history of tennis? :dead: Aside from bouts with Alcaraz and Sinner, Djoke winning recently isn't more impressive. Djoke was getting knocked out of Wimbledon by a past his prime Safin. Djoke is the GOAT, but don't overstate the case.

That's half-true. Federer should have been the GOAT, but was a mental midget in too many critical games. Djoke and Nadal had more mental toughness.

"Mental Midget" aka he was getting old. Federer was so great, ya'll assumed a 38/39 year old Federer should be on a level playing field against someone in their prime

Novak is literally the first person to win every important tournament (all Grand Slams, all Masters, ATP Finals, Olympics), won the most Grand Slams and spent the most time at #1

yet people still want to bring up Federer, who padded his totals against Mardy Fish and May Mirnyi type players :mjlol:
? Davydenko, Ljubičić, etc. were classes of players who could knock Djokovic out. Did Djoke play prime Pim Pim? (He did, but that was a nasty player) Did you watch the whole era?

No, Federer is my favorite player of all time. He is not mentally as strong as Djokovic or Nadal. That's a fact. He'd have the slam record otherwise.

This is a rubbish argument breh period

Please look up who Federer won his first 5 slams against, he didn't beat either Djokovic or Nadal.

Ageing Nadal who is a year older? Aging Warwrinka who is two years older?

Federer isn't even #2 in the era let alone the best :mjlol:

Federer competed and beat

Agassi
Sampras
Goran ivanisevic
Carlos Moya
Lleyton Hewit
Roddikk
Marat Safin
Del Petro
Wawrinka
Djokovic
Nadal
Plus majority of Nadal and Djokovic's opponents

Sorry, that resume can't be topped :manny:

If you want to prop up Djokovic for beating up on a down era of aging hall of famers and the next Gen players full of underachievers, then have at it

Get the fukk out of here. Both Djokovic and Nadal were/are known for quitting in matches that they knew they were losing. You can never say that about Federer. How many "injury timeouts" and "injury retirements" did we see from those two. Can't take anyone seriously whoever doesn't acknowledge that

It can definitely be topped
Lets also talk about how half of Federers titles are 250 titles :mjlol:

That was never a thing with Nadal. It was with Djoke, but at the beginning of his career. I remember him punking out vs. Monfils at the French in 2005 or 2006, and doing that shyt. Djokovic doesn't do that anymore.

True, but some of those were for his breathing.
He has allergic asthma, since he was a kid.

In general asthma symptoms sometimes increase with exercise (specially in cold air)...
It's incredible that he's a professional athlete.

That condition probably led him to seek both healthy lifestyle (which helped his longevity) and strange non-medical conspiracies (that we all saw during covid)...
(He also has poor vision, and needs glasses/contact lenses... that's also strange for a professional athlete, and an inspiration to all the kids with glasses...)

His greatest legacy to me is not in tennis, it's reconciliation between Serbia and Croatia.

It was not due to any politician nor any official institution, it was initially just him and Goran Ivanišević as his coach, and more recently two musicians (Konstrakta and Baby Lasagna).

His covid tournament in Belgrade and Zadar had bad timing (and sent an awful message that cost a lot of lives), but it started a reconciliation process, that resulted in whole Serbia now cheering for Donna Vekić several years later...

Only Ðoković as a half Croat (his mom is Croat), and a Serbian nationalist with enough credibility among Serbian nationalists, had a platform to start such a reconciliation process.

Hopefully it will bring a more lasting piece in the region, and possibly save lives in the future.

breh is really listing 90s players who were either retired by 2003 (when Federer started winning slams) or in their mid 30s :mjlol:

I'm so glad ya'll brought this up

So you don't give Federer credit for beating an aging version of Agassi and Sampras. But you give Djokovic credit for beating an aging version of Federer and Nadal. Interesting
