On the case of Seattle, probably the same thing they let their team go…
Seattle lost the Sonics in heavy part due to KeyArena being extremely dated, they completely rebuilt it so that's not an issue anymore

It's just a timing thing right now. They're waiting for that media deal to run its course

Like @who_better_than_me said, Memphis is easy to switch to the east, but I don't see OKC moving nor Minnesota. Wouldn't be surprise if they move like the Clippers for example east and put them in New Jersey.
and put em where? Jersey ain't tryna revitalize Izod Center

besides the point since the Clippers got a new arena in Inglewood on deck

what's crazy is that the way the league is going, it's going to be even worse. there needs to be an expansion. it's why OKC has 21 players and have to make serious cuts. it's why ty ty washington is getting tossed around and he just got drafted in the first round. players are playing longer + veterans who are not elite are getting phased out for young players. it doesn't matter if you can still score 15 a game, teams are more invested in the 20 year old and GMs are putting pressure to play the younger guys.
OKC has 21 players, but that doesn't mean they all have futures. Poku needs more time? Tre Mann maybe finds a spot elsewhere since PG is in a bad way right now, but TyTy is getting passed around because Houston inexplicably decided to play Daishen Nix over him. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will be competing for TBT titles in 5 years. Ultimately we'll see what happens with some of thee guys when it's time for OKC to actually cash in these assets (if the team who acquires these picks, obviously starting over, has no role for these young guys, then they never had a role in this league to begin with)

Hopefully when they bring the Sonics back they restore their history.

Team has a 40 year history and all their achievements are tied to bum fukk OKC.

Most likely are. The Thunder don’t even acknowledge the Sonics era

It’ll likely be just like the Browns/Ravens and Hornets/Pelicans
