vs Goodwin 32% on 2 attempts a game. That’s a big difference

And yea they won’t lose bc of offense but they will lose bc of attrition, too many minutes, and being gassed at the wrong time. All of that can happen when your backup PG is a question mark

The 44% is a huge outlier when you look at the rest of his career.
Cam Payne himself was already a question mark if you ask Suns fans. He played well in the game 6 which juiced his stats but nothing that can’t be replaced overall.

Goodwin is going into his 3rd year so he could either improve to be a serviceable shooter/Suns could ride an outlier wave like they did with Payne’s shooting in ‘21/ or he’ll be replaced. He’s been a pretty good defender from what I’ve seen from people who watch the Wizards

They got a few seconds and some TPEs they can use if it gets dire. Or maybe they get another guard if they’re trading Ayton for a more defensive minded center.
