Pope is too small to guard ant and Gordon is too slow. They need to give Watson more minutes.

He has to be the guy on Ant, and Gordon has to guard either Towns or Naz Reid. MPJ has to spend time on Naz Reid as well. Malone has to also let Deandre Jordan get minutes, so Jokic won't be worn down by the Wolves size. Braun didn't look bad playing on Edwards either.

It's so refreshing to see young talented stars take over the league despite that fact that media talking heads and jaded fans' fixation on the older players.

It's great indeed. Especially with this new guard wanting to compete with the guys they have, and not trying to team up with other stars.

Anthony Edwards is a great example of someone who plays much bigger than he is

Dude is actually undersized height and wingspan-wise when you compare him to what people have in their heads about a prototypical 6'6 SG with a 7' wingspan. Ant is 6'4 with a 6'8 wingspan yet look nobody would really be able to tell when you watch him. Phenomenal player. Wolves did a great job with that #1 pick. They straight up analyzed the player for what he brought rather than what didn't show up on the ruler.

Ultimately, I think the Wolves go as far as KAT can raise their ceiling. Edwards has significantly raised their floor and how well KAT shoots and scores offensively will be the deciding factor with how far they go. Games like yesterday where he shoots the lights out, moves the ball and throws dimes, I don't think any team can stop them given how good Ant is and how great their team defense looks.

Here’s the problem…

Denver accomplished everything they did last year with no bench. They conquered the world with their starting five and occasional scraps.

The issue now is not only can Thr Wolves keep two 7 footers on the court to bother Jokic and two big wings for Murray but then you have Naz & NAW coming off the bench. Reggie gave them something but aside from that…

Christian Braun is going to have to go to whatever shooting coach Issac Okoro did or he’s going to be out of the league

Calvin Booth is going to have to hit the market this summer for two guys that can put it on the floor and shoot some

Minnesota impressed

Great D on Murray in the first half—can’t believe they held my guy to zero points

The KAT and Reid bursts in the second half were essential

Ant’s greatness overall was on display—his poise and playing at his pace belie his age

I think Denver’s inability to get stops and Minny shooting 71% in the second half proved to be the difference

Nuggets just haven’t looked good in the playoffs for a full game this year and something seems off with Joker and Murray—they better wake up because they’ll fukk around and get swept

I been wanting to pick minny from the gate to win this series I simply hesitate because they are young 1st time in the moment vs the champs and i presume their experience and greatness from Murry and Joker will prevail as the moment might get to big for the wolves

But

They are the better complete team. Nuggets have absolutely no one to defend Edwards they kind of have no one that can defend Reid or KAT and minny has defenders to send at MPJ Murry and jokic. Plus they have a vet pg who can keep things organized in close games.

Still picking Denver but def not shocked if minny takes this series. They are honestly the better team

Yeah pretty much. It's honestly think it's their series to lose. Funny thing is if Denver wins this series they most likely win it all.

I think Minny can win it all as well, but their experience might get the best of them depending how spent they are. However, they have a great chance to if they can get by this round because they really are a well put together team, a legit Championship looking team in fact.
