This is why I got Denver repeating barring any injuries inshallah @Slaimon Khan Shah

They’re battle tested like no other and can adapt to any game plan against them, unlike the Celtics. The Celtics has shown in the past that when they faced any real adversity especially vs Miami they’ve folded. The narrative is that Jokic never faced any real adversity in the playoffs and yet here we are in 2024 and they’re about to erase all doubts again. My hat goes off to the Nuggets foreal, this is what makes the regular season worthwhile for us fans.

So I watched the condensed version. I’m trying to figure out why they went away from the game 1 and 2 strategy of Rudy on AG and KAT on Joker. Karl doesn’t have the discipline to guard AG. He can brute force it against Joker’s post ups but AG is way too crafty and smart for Karl. If the Nuggets way to combat the press is to have AG bring the ball up, then stop that pressing shyt lmao. Why would you want Rudy on him in space? Why wasn’t this like immediately corrected? We have been hounds on defense all season and didn’t do any of that shyt in the regular season to split the series with them. KAT on AG doesn’t work because he’s an idiot who does not understand helping on Joker is typically bad. Coaches need to hammer that shyt in or get him off the fukking court man.

Put KAT on Joker, stop fukking pressing all game, especially when Gordon is bringing the ball up, because that does nothing but confuse poor retarded Karl-Anthony. He’ll have Ant picking up Joker all fukking game because he won’t know what the hell is going on. KAT has been doing a better job than anyone else when just playing Joker straight up. Like Joker gonna get his 30 but playing everyone straight up, better chances he doesn’t let other people get going. How do we play these guys 4 times a year and in the playoffs these past 2 seasons, won 2 playoff games employing that strategy, then just get completely shook by a bad whistle?

I mean I would be okay with the game if that’s the score it was at the half and these dudes were going hard and dealing with foul issues. But I think maybe like one person had 3 fouls at half if that. There has to be more aggression on defense, I don’t give a fukk. You left these dudes sore after games 1 and 2, pause; did the whistle in game 3 scare you that fukking much? Come on man. I thought Finch and the coaching crew had grown up but I also thought KAT has grown up. So maybe the actual retard isn’t them….. :lupe:

2 key things are:

AG is hitting 3s and you live with it but Rudy has to at least be in the same zipcode to act like a contest could come. AG simplified his game to work with the Nuggets offense but he can make enough wide open jumpers that he can't be ignored entirely

Refs changed their whistle between games 2 and 3. Went from prison ball back to the NBA. So yeah the press shyt is getting them unnecessary fouls and defensive lapses but the greater issue is Minny has been an average offensive team so if they aren't disrupting Denvers HC offense before it gets set they're forced into whose offense is better

The biggest coaching malpractice was letting Gobert and Towns audition for the remake of Dumb and Dumber while Naz Reid rotted on the bench

Thats crazy that a guy would have less team success without his best teammate playing with him. What a fraud

And what's the difference between the 15+ threads each of KD, Lebron, Curry, Kawhi, Embiid, etc about their legacy? Why is it ok when it's about them, but somehow it's this uproar when it's about Jokic? :jbhmm::mjpls:

Glad I can be a pioneer in putting Jokic's legacy to the fire :salute:. Hopefully more threads come after me

shyt, I'll take it one further.

Look at the current NBA, now and in the future:
Jokic
Giannis
Wemby
Luka
Paolo

Additionally, all the 6'8 prospects at the next levels who got guard skills.

I got to ask, do you think a 6'4 guard can really be the best player on a Championship team considering how many big players can handle, pass and shoot now? Teams are running offenses through bigger players bringing the ball up now. That era is now officially here.

Ant either needs a true 1B or maybe even needs to move to 1B himself (ideally).

A even better option is to let him continue to develop as a player since he’s only 22 years old and outside of Luka Doncic none of the guys you listed were on his level at the same age. I could see if he wasn’t efficient but he’s been the most efficient player in the playoffs. Him being able to play both sides of the ball puts him over the top.

Best thing to do is to get him with some guys that can create their own shot and attack the basket. Outside of him no one in that starting lineup is capable of doing that. KAT struggles with running into 3 people. Conley is old and struggles with getting by players sometimes. Jaden McDaniels is still young but he took a step back this year.
