Fixed for ya brehBraves offense was one of the best for a time![]()
What’s your proposal to fix it?It's already too late, but it's crazy to me that all of the 100 win teams this season, combined to win just 1 playoff game.
I don't think it's fair to the teams with the best record to have to sit for a week, while the lower seeded teams play and stay in their routine.
Baseball needs to less teams in the postseason, not more.

I think the only thing you can do is force the next game to happen the day after any team is eliminated to make sure the wild card teams are at a disadvantage which is technically what’s supposed to happen.
The only thing wrong with that is it gives hitters additional games to stay in rhythm or work through slumps to get ready for the playoffs.
They should probably bring back the play in game then get right on into the division instead of making it best of 3. Then make the DS games 7 instead of 5 so the lay off teams get their groove back.
The key is to have the lower seeds burn their best starter (or two) which means they come in punching left handed. MLB just needs to make the DS the day after elimination to prevent any resetsI thought the WC play in and going to the Division series a day after was the best format.
I also liked the 2020 COVID tournament format - I thought that was the most fair considering the circumstances.
I understand why MLB wants more teams involved and more postseason games ($$$). Giving a team a week off (especially since baseball is a sport that is played EVERY DAY) is more of a competitive disadvantage than anything.
My solution - do away with the byes. Every team plays a best of 3 first round series, then a five game Division series, then 7 game championships series and World Series.

In their eight NLDS games against the Phillies over the past two years, the Braves hit just .183 with eight homers, 21 runs and a .556 OPS, and struck out 77 times in 257 at-bats. After assuming they had reached a nadir of sorts in last year’s NLDS, the Braves were even worse this time, slugging .264 to last year’s .344, and hitting three homers to last year’s five.
