Confirmed with ATT they are doing that $425 discount for Note 7 owners...
All you have to do is bring in your replacement phone...
That does nothing for me since I'm getting a full discount but I might try to get the $425 for wifey...

If Samsung will give me $425 for this S7 I still have sitting around then I'll be getting a Note8. I might consider giving them my S8 for that price but I'd prefer the S7 cause that's the phone I replaced the Note7 with.

it's pretty much the same exact size as the s8+. what's the point 
depending on your carrier that might be difficult. I bought the Note7 and didn't preorder and had to wait a bit before I could get one. Also Samsung is gonna give people who had the Note7 up to $425 off the 8 if they preorder and trade in their current phone.
Copped..two day shipping though? Used to be overnight..probably get it on weds or thurs the week of like last time though.
didn't think it'd drop so soon (didn't watch conference)..att says shipping Sept 5...thought would've been mid-late september

They'll take the edge off you and give you $425...Thats what Samsung is doing on their website and some dude at the AT&T store told me yesterday...but I dont see how one who didn't purchase from Samsung can do this...they use your email to validate your purchase on Samsungs site...
