Bron and Bird are a coin flip. Bron's a better defender, both great passers and rebounders, Bird's a better scorer. The criticism I have against Lebron is he doesn't have the complete scoring game that Bird had, and he defers too much to his teammates in critical situations. Bird was mentally tougher and demanded the ball critical situations. And with Bron you can sag off him and dare him to hit jump shots. Some days Bron has his jumper going, and some days he doesn't. Bird could score from anywhere on the court and defenders had to respect the jumper. Also, it took Lebron years to develop a post game, Bird had a polished post game when he came in the league. Bron handles the ball a lot more and sometimes it seems he pads his assist stats on some Rondo steeze, Bird played within the flow of the offense and let DJ, Tiny, or other guards handle the ball.
Right now I give the edge to Bird, but Bron has a few more years left. Let's see how his career plays out.
And who are these so called "experts"? I saw dumbass Broussard and Adande's quotes in the article.
