okay, i'll concede ignorance here... but do you really think that china would be okay with TEN nuke bombs dropped in their vicinity leaking radiation into their nation and forcing refugees into their country...? heck, russia isn't that far away from north korea, they might jump into that too.... let's put this in a different context... although mexico and the u.s. are friends, we are currently involved in a conflict over immigration... if russia decided to nuke tijuana ten times, the u.s. would be in all up in arms over that.... no way nk gets nuked ten times and ww III doesn't break out... that's lunacy....

Knowing what you don't know the first step in learning - I respect that you stood down and admitted it right away instead of doubling down like some others here would have.

Yes, CHINA might go to their side unless they just decided that America has too many nukes and they were legit afraid of Trump.

But Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, they ain't taking the slightest move against us, even if they speak out against what we did. They're still fighting with us or staying neutral under all circumstances, NEVER joining China. That would have been true for Philippines too until their new crazy ruler came to power.

Not sure what Russia would do...my guess is that they'd try to stay out of it, at least militarily, and later try to take advantage of the carnage to maje more geopolitical moves.

Trump only listens to Russians, right? Maybe Putin gotta make that call?

Russia says bellicose rhetoric on North Korea is 'over the top'

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday the risks of a military conflict over North Korea's nuclear program are very high, and Moscow is deeply worried by the mutual threats being traded by Washington and Pyongyang.

"Unfortunately, the rhetoric in Washington and Pyongyang is now starting to go over the top," Lavrov said. "We still hope and believe that common sense will prevail."

Asked at a forum for Russian students about the risks of the stand-off escalating into armed conflict, he said: "The risks are very high, especially taking into account the rhetoric."

"Direct threats of using force are heard... The talk (in Washington) is that there must be a preventive strike made on North Korea, while Pyongyang is threatening to carry out a missile strike on the U.S. base in Guam. These (threats) continue non-stop, and they worry us a lot."

"I won't get into guessing what happens 'if'. We will do whatever we can to prevent this 'if'."

"My personal opinion is that when you get close to the point of a fight breaking out, the side that is stronger and cleverer should take the first step away from the threshold of danger," said Lavrov, in remarks broadcast on state television.

He encouraged Pyongyang and Washington to sign up to a joint Russian-Chinese plan, under which North Korea would freeze its missile tests and the United States and South Korea would impose a moratorium on large-scale military exercises.

"If this double freezing finally takes place, then we can sit down and start from the very beginning - to sign a paper which will stress respect for the sovereignty of all those parties involved, including North Korea," Lavrov said.

The US is the only country to actually have used a weapon of this size on someone.

It would be insane to think the third time ever in history a bomb like this is used again would be by the US again and sadly I'm not confident in saying trump won't do it.

I trust NK to be more rational than trump. :mjlol:

Of course this is what China and Russia want. America don't fall for this bullshyt trap. China is bytch and Russia for this as they help provide this leader with a nuke

Are you serious? Why would Russia and China want this type of escalation? They're on the border with the DPRK. If the USA does a pre-emptive strike or nuclear attack, that fall out is going to affect them. Refugees would pour across those borders.
