Who TF really knows. Whatever this about is groundbreaking. Trump got South Korea and North Korea to the table. In some weird unorthodox way, its fukking working SO FAR.

Which is why you should be skeptical of this meeting and the results that may come from it. If no one can explain intelligently how or why North Korea is willing to give up its weapons just because Trump called him “rocket man” on Twitter something is amiss.

hes getting two terms breh, ive already resigned myself to this.

America is in a full on culture civil war, and "independents" will retain the incumbent when they see trump is "actually not that bad"

Plus the economy is retardedly good right now and the average braindead person thanks the president for that. Unless the market crashes its a guarantee :upsetfavre:
meeting lil kim in 2018 won't have an effect on 2020 unless NK denuclearize because of this. if he gets re-elected it will be for other things.

Trump is the (important) icing on the cake at this point.

Two meetings with Xi.

Two meetings with Moon.

One meeting with Lavrov with a meeting with Putin on the way.

A potential meeting with Abe in the works.

All this before Kim met Trump.

The momentum completely shifted and Kim got a lot of legitimacy prior to the summit. Maximum pressure was done before the summit happened.
None of that matters if,

1. Trump didn't undermind the standing of the US in the world
2. If Trump refuses to meet with Kim unless he commits to denuclearization as has been the long standing policy.

If this meeting doesn't affirm 2 nothing else matters and were likely on the path towards war. We already have Republicans asking dems to support giving Trump that authority.

China and Russia have been cozy with NK.

EDIT: Everything you mentioned was set in motion by Trump saying he was willing to meet with Un. Let's not rewrite history for our own narrative.

What does this have to do with Trump's approval ratings that have been at historic lows throughout his presidency?

Would you be willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?”…

Mr. Obama: I would. And the reason is this, that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them — which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration – is ridiculous.”
