What concerns me is what we don't know. Because the idea of a straight up war between the U.S and North Korea is a joke. We can literally disentegrate them in a day if it came to that. I feel like Kim got some trick up his sleeve to be poppin this much shyt. Like a blood pact with China that say if there is war China must come to their aid or some shyt.

China already said that if the US attacks North Korea, they'll jump in.

Obviously the US will crush North Korea if war were to occur. Problem is that Kim plans on destroying Seoul (capital of South Korea), if North Korea is attacked. Seoul's metropolitan area has 20+ million ppl. You basically have a strange hostage situation as a major deterrent, in addition to nukes.

War in the Korean Peninsula would be disastrous. Huge loss of life from both North and South Korea, major powers get drawn in (China, Russia and Japan), and it'll greatly diminish the reputation of the US globally.

De-escalation and negotiations is the right path to at least cool this out. No one wins if war breaks out.

You cannot "disintegrate" North Korea without also "disintegrating" South Korea as collateral damage. They're on the same fukking peninsula. You also cannot nuke North Korea without Nuking South Korea and possibly parts of China.
Look at a goddamn map.
Also, North Korea is armed to the teeth and would destroy Japan and everything around it.
A war with North Korea would also hasten America's demise.

The only real solution is to leave NK the fukk alone. If Kim wants to be nice he can allow Trump and the US to save face and let them pop shyt on the way out. But Kim petty so he finna run his mouth too.

The U.S has tactical nuclear weapons that are designed to hit certain areas. I'm not sure why you would think SK and China would be hit too. You do realize even our nukes from 70 years ago hit certain cities right? Hiroshima and Nagasaki were hit but Tokyo was not. And the ones we have today are FAR more advanced. Look at some fukkin literature on U.S. nukes.

They've threatened to use their nuclear weapons to potentially attack places like Guam and are trying to develop weapons capable of hitting the Western United States. Their nuclear program is dangerous for the rest of the world. Why would you sit idly by and allow what they're doing to continue?

Exactly @Bolzmark . Duke is totally ignoring the fact that NK just cracked off a nuke and the whole peninsula was not disintegrated. No one even got hurt probably.

Same reason why the US signs defense treaty's with other countries....it's to protect our self interest. That treaty has been in affect since 1961 and resigned every 20 years. If they had no intention of defending them they wouldn't sign it.

China uses NK as a buffer state the same way the US uses SK and Japan as one. They will not have US forces right across the Yalu River staring them down.

Breh this is the thing! I have lived in Asia for years and this tension with North Korea has been the highest I have ever seen. Tensions are running super high over here.

If North Korea gets hit every territory that has broken away from China will get gobbled up and China will get involved. I float in between the territories that were once all China. North Korea is screwing up everyone's money in this circle.

I hope nothing happens but it's trying everyone's nerves even mine.

I know a few people that have left the area. They are not going to chance it. I just hope this just more of the N.Korea just posturing. If it isnt and something does happen I'm leaving this area ASAP.

You just said everybody wins if the US is nuked. There's almost 400 million people here, outside of organizations like ISIS how does this benefit the rest of the world?
