The North Korean nuclear program progresssed too quickly. It was supposed to take them another 10-15 years. Russia helped them. It's obvious. The US could've took out North Korea at any point before 2006 but we were so concerned with Saddam and Bin Laden. Now it's sorta too late for a militaristic option with NK as they would bomb the fukk out of Tokyo and Seoul on their way out. Thanks Bush. Thanks Clinton. Thanks Obama too, tbh. They kept kicking the can down the road, now it's a serious problem.

prior to NK's ability to launch nuclear missiles, they still had enough conventional ballistics to seriously fukk up Seoul.
if Bush, Clinton or Obama tried anything overt it would have been a shyt show.

this is a classic catch 22 situation that has just gotten much worse.

Trump Criticizes South Korea’s ‘Appeasement’ of North Korea Following Hydrogen Bomb Test

Early this morning, it was reported that North Korea had successfully tested a hydrogen bomb that caused a 6.3-magnitude tremor in the country. This comes in the wake of the country claiming it was able to fit the h-bomb onto a long-range intercontinental missile.

Following the news of the bomb test, President Donald Trump took to Twitter to provide his reaction. And he decided to use his tweets to toss some criticism at a democratic ally, an ally that is most directly threatened by North Korea.

The New York Times’ Glenn Thrushprovided the following observation on the way Trump spoke of South Korea compared to China regarding the North Korea threat:

Also, in recent days, the president has instructed his team to prepare for a withdrawal from the free-trade agreement between the United States and South Korea, something that could create economic tensions between the two countries during this crisis with North Korea.

:pachaha:

I'm sure this is the reaction of south Korea :shaq2:.

there's no catch 22, just a failure of various administrations to not properly address a problem
Pandering to China, while China enabled NK has nothing to do with Seoul

An unstable and long time reckless country has continually defied UN demands to stop their nuclear ambitions, while different US administrations kept diplomacy as the only option to dealing with the problem

Thank God we have a sane, rational president who will surely put together a tactful response that definitely won't further escalate the situation.
worry about escalation while another country has historically escalated hostiles towards the US, UN, and South East Asia brehs

Trump is out of his rabid-ass mind. :mindblown:

Of course South Korea is trying to talk this shyt out, North Korea is their direct neighbor and will light them up if they even attempt to go after Kim from any military standpoint. They have to deal with the direct consequences of a military conflict.

And Trump's response is to threaten to pull out of US-SK trade deals? :wtf:

Push SK more and more towards China and Russia brehs. What a dumbass.:snoop:
