Emergency Services Director Kirby Saunders said, “While the number one objective is to locate where Alston is, it is also imperative that we determine where he is not. Efforts will continue until Alston is in custody.”

People in the area are urged to keep doors, vehicles and windows locked. Call 911 if you see any suspicious activity.
Alston, 30, is serving a life sentence in Bertie Correctional for the Christmas Day murder of Maleah Williams in 2015.

Officials said Alston was last seen wearing a Department of Corrections-issued gray T-shirt, brown pants, and New Balance tennis shoes when he ran from the van. He was also last seen with his hands still cuffed in front of him.
Officials said Tuesday evening that the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction is offering a $35,000 reward for information leading to Alston’s capture.

Man is literally on run in a belly chain. Those co must have been :flabbynsick: status to be outran by a man whos handcuffed in a belly chain. :snoop: How can they not find him or notice anything odd? They wanted that dude to be free if you ask me. He most definitely out of NC now and those co who lost him are out of their job.
