Let's not act like these religions mentioned by you are in any way benevolent. They present much better philosophical and scientific premises than the desert myths, but they have still slowed down the progress of our species.

What evidence did you present? All I see you post is scripture of a book that no academic or person of reason takes to be true.

I'm not concerned with that right now. Quite frankly I don't agree with religion being a complete detractor for our species, seeing as how it was an obvious aid to creating agricultural societies and laws (however flawed the execution may have been).

This is simply a topic meant to foster discussion about belief systems thousands of years old, practiced by a large population of humanity. I find it crazy that even Sly had something to say about the religions themselves, but y'all are bringing that in here.

If I am saying that your holy book is being questioned for its validity as truth, it isn't wise to go quote scripture from that same book as evidence that it is valid.

If Abrahamic faiths go back to first man (meaning pre-Abraham... try to learn something today), provide proof of pre-theistic man. You make this seem like a simple request to fulfill, yet you have failed to do so. Enough with the punchlineless jokes and non witty quips. When are you going to actually engage in the conversation and speak on the topic you pretend to know so much about?
