Back in the Soundcloud days I loved this show - Adam giving tons of kids some bigtime shine and putting the world on to a lot of up and coming characters, artists, etc
When he shifted into creating basically a media network and took the mindset of "content 24/7" with all of these off brand co-hosts and intra-employee drama I stopped checking for them. shyt turned real stupid. He had a good thing going for a while but apparently it wasn't enough for him
It's kind of sad these days we can't just have a decent thing and that's it. Everyone tries to scale to infinity and if quality, usefulness, etc goes out the window - so be it, as long as the numbers keep going up. Wasteful ass generation for real. It's funny because I know for a fact Adam came from a generation and from a scene back in the day where 'selling out' was really looked down upon, and the past few years he's been throwing literally everything at the wall trying to see what will stick, in order to literally sell out. The multi millionare mindset isn't enough anymore, everyone trying for that billion and getting crushed in the process lmao

Terrible business decision by Adam to not have AD under a contract that prevented him from doing his own podcast or similar endeavor.

This is why record labels make new artists sign 10 album 360 deals. So that in the event an artist they invest in blows up, they get the lions share of the profits for a very long time, if not, forever.

The flip side of this is that Adam did not exploit AD at all and did business with him in a way which was ultimately more advantageous for AD then himself.

If these guys are succeeding on their own podcasts it helps nj even more, maybe he wants a cut off of these podcasts as well. That’s the most realistic scenario in my opinion. Either way he fuked up, they went from 5-6 live podcasts a week to 2.
