If they have a boxing match then combat sports as a whole will be WWE status. An MMA fight would be interesting, but Connor isnt a wrestler anyway so he probably would get washed in that too.

:mjlol:

Conor would submit him with ease in an MMA fight.

A kickboxing match would be the most interesting.

lol, you're a lunatic for that last line'

highly doubt there's guys who a fundamentally sound in every aspect of MMA, you just need someone well rounded in a few disciplines to be deadly

An elite Muy Thai fighter has never fought in MMA

The best olympic wrestlers have never fought MMA

The best judo guy or woman has never fought MMA

90 percent of MMA fighters punch incorrectly lmao

They all have stamina issues, all are using roids, it's a glorified tough man competition

Jon Jones wasn't even a fighter and trained for 4 months before he went pro and is the greatest of all time in the sport lmao

If Canelo got a wrestling and BJJ coach in two years he would be the UFC champion with a 100 percent knock out rate

it's not a real sport, until they have elite prospects at 20 years old who can fight for real.

because wrestling doesn't end up in KO's or Submissions in most cases. Wrestlers are trained to pin
Judo same thing

you bring those guys over and they get you on the ground and don't know what to do except lay and pray. You're a lunatic, there's reasons why the top "olympic" guys don't always transition into MMA because they aren't trained to fight to the finish
also you don't know what you're talking about there are plenty of olympic wrestlers that have fought and are in the UFC. You need to do some research, what a stupid reply

You clearly don't even understand sports or what I am saying

When Brett Rogers can go from working from Sam Clubs with no background in any combat sport and get a fight with Fedor who is suppose to be a GOAT and almost beat him, this is not a sport, but a glorified tough man competition.

Jon Jones never competed at the highest level of any combat sport, never fought any his life, and with four months of trainer turned pro and dominated.

This is not a sport period.

No chance of happening. Conor is under contract.
Floyd can do whatever he wants. All he will have to do is sign a 1 fight UFC contract for a boxing match inside the octagon at a UFC event for UFC 200.

it's not too far out of the realm of possibility, Hell MIKE TYSON is in the UFC video game lol

a Floyd/Connor fight could force the UFC to sue...exposing how much value they belive fighters really have

does the UFC really want to do that?

MMA fighter get fukked over and paid chump change, everyone should know this already...the lawsuit would basically be the UFC admitting it...

Hidehiko Yoshida, Hector Lombard and Dan Kelly.

Yoshida was already in his 30's when he started MMA, and his last fight was when he was 40

Lombard and Kelly are both 38 years old, I don't even think they got medals.

The point is until MMA has 20 year old prospects with amateur pedigrees being signed, it's not a sport.

The amateur MMA promotions really do nothing in developing talent for the sport on a global level.

Until you start seeing complete MMA fighters that are 20 years old, it's not a sport

yeah and you're basically calling it a bunch of skill-less hacks suiting up and beating each other up. There's plenty of guys in Boxing, NBA, Football, etc etc that took up sports late and did well (none that come to mind that have dominated) but you act like Jon Jones was some hack. He competed and again won Junior college nationals. That's not some small feat.

Again do your research, there's plenty of ex-Olympians (which is what you said , not gold medal winners) that compete in MMA. You are bending the rules to try to fit your misguided argument as you usually do. Rhonda Rousey was a bronze winner, that means she was 3rd best...Holly Holms was a champion in boxing and kick boxing . Are these not the same people you say aren't fighting in MMA?

I know.

Even if he did sign a 1 fight contract with the UFC. He's going to want the majority of the revenue generated. The UFC will not give that to him.

It's not going to happen.

LOL, MMA is bigger globaally then all these "amateur" professions. SMH, the breeding grounds for Mix Martial Arts are the amateurs of these specific arts.

Lastly, MMA has only really been commercialized in the last decade or so, they are starting to setup these gyms similiar to boxing. You will soon seen amateurs coming out the woodwork in the next 20 years. Stop trying to discredit the sport because you're a boxing purist/elitist and are upset your sport could be dying.
