im going to see it on monday when i come back to mass..its showing at a theater a couple towns over from me
no shyt it was limited release for like last 2 weeks tho. enjoy this neg tho a$$hole
Saw it today.
It's pretty fantastic.
The narrative of the first 30 minutes, the introduction to the character and story, is pretty rough. The way it introduces non-Kuklinski characters is underdeveloped and how it winds as a hitman happens way to fast on screen.
But after that, it's great. Michael Shannon is brilliant. I think he's one of the 2 or 3 best working actors...and this may be his best performance.
The tension in the last 45 minutes is very well done.
Supporting actors all do their thing, including Chris Evans, who with this and Puncture has made me a big fan. Liotta is great as you'd expect.
The movie isn't without it's faults and the script holds it back quite a bit, but it's absolutely worth seeing for Shannon alone.
7/10
If this was about Bobby Drake I'd go see it twice.
