Not true, the Lakers played better under Uncle Bernie because of the energy of not having to play for Mike Brown and the fact that Bernie literally let them do whatever they felt.

So the answer for the Lakers is to just not have a coach doing any coaching at all? I don't think the "let them play" approach would have changed anything against teams like OKC, LAC, Memphis, etc.

With Bernie, they played 5 home games and they beat the Kings (1-10 on the road), the Suns (2-10 on the road), and the Rockets (3-7 on the road). The only one that can be called a quality win was the Warriors and at the time, it looked like the Warriors were just as bad as the others.

You don't think but you also don't know, we can only go by what we see/saw.
Also I would agree with you if the Lakers didn't struggle or lose to lesser teams. For example look at the Cavs game and last night's game. They the struggled and lost to weaker teams regardless.

People can assume that .800 winning percentage would have held up all season under Bernie ball all they want, doesn't bother me, I just don't agree :manny:

People thought Brown was the reason the team sucked, they got rid of him, then they played some easy games and started feeling themselves. When they went on the road and the schedule got tougher, it all fell apart.

If you can give me specific details about what things they did under Bernie that they weren't doing under either of the Mikes, I'll listen. It just seems to me that if Bernie's interim coaching career had happened a week later, no one would be saying a good thing about him right now.

First thing,:rudy: who said anything about a .800 percentage holding up? No met, so what are you even saying that for?

The only things they did under Uncle Bernie compared to Mike was play with freedom, understanding of roles, confidence and happiness which are some of the essential things for winning games. I think the failure of Brown helped them play better under Bernie, not really saying Bernie did things better but they responded well to him for 5 games.

D'Antoni going in the exact opposite direction as Mike. Last year the Lakers let everyone post up and it really created a glut down low. Now he's trying to space everyone out and leave Dwight down low to work.

There needs to be some balance. Hopefully they figure it out.

And Dwight ain't the best post scorer

Add that hes opened to get fouled, in that position....

theres no thread about it because paus right

Exactly.

Magic Johnson has already said this.

His system doesn’t fit the talent that the Lakers have. You can’t run with this team. Who are the runners? You’ve got one guy who can get up and down the court and that’s Kobe (Bryant).

When Gasol was on that (low) block, he averaged 18 points, he shot 53 percent from the field and he still is the best passing big man in the game. But you have him at the free-throw line? That makes no sense. That’s not his game. His game is to catch it on the low block, face his man, one dribble left or right. He’s got great moves.

Well, Pau, the Lakers don't have two great post players.

What they have is a very aggressive post player with no skills and a very skilled post player with no aggression.

Well people talk like Bernie's "success" was something sustainable and that D'Antoni came in and imposed his will and stomped out whatever it was they had going. The schedule just got tougher, it's as simple as that.

This is what the Lakers get for firing Mike Brown. I mean, who the fukk thought D'antoni would be a better option than Mike Brown? Talk about DOWGRADE!

Browns down fall was that he was supposed of been a Defense wizard..the laker defense didnt reflect that so...
