This is actually a bad thing for Cleveland.
How do you expect to change a culture when you bring in a new head coach and staff every few years?
How many different men have started at Quarterback for the Browns?
You can't win when everybody you bring in has to look over their shoulder because you don't make the playoffs in 2 years.
It's ridiculous.
You bring in Johnny Manziel when the coach didn't want him. You gotta deal with your best player on suspension. You've got a runningback-by-committee situation.
The problem isn't so much that Cleveland's coaches and players aren't winning. It's that they're not given the chance to work through their growing pains.
And Cleveland isn't a city that some big-time head coach will come to. A job opening in Miami or New York or Dallas will get anybody. But the Browns need to be patient with whomever they bring in next, because it won't be a Nick Saban or a Sean Payton.

There is 0 continuity. Every fukking 2 seasons they bring in a new coach with a new philosophy that needs to install his system, etc. It's a new culture every couple years. They need to just be like "We gon be shyt for 2-3 seasons, take their licks and build a team. These clowns act like they're a winning franchise..like they're the Pats or something. You are shyt. Find a HC and GM, stick with them for a while, let them bring in their guys and build a team without folk working with a gun to their heads.
The browns messed up firing chud after one year when his players loved him, then they got pettine and fire him after 2 seasons when he had terrible qb's.
I've never watched a game pettine coached so I can't comment on that but it's seriously a bad look to fire a coach after 1 season then another after 2 seasons....... good luck getting a big name coach or even a respectable coach

no matter what happened he was gonna have to get rid of this regime. he hired a GM and HC who were absolutely not on the same page and were spiteful to eachother through personnel decisions. and farmer was putrid he has blown EVERY first round pick we've had. shelton and irving are still a process but gilbert and manziel were absolute failures
That's fair, but he got rid of a pretty good coach for an even worse one. Shoulda never been hired in the first place.
