Most of these BRICS countries are dictatorships. The rulers will never want to engage in a trade war which can trigger their outsting. Trump will get them to bend.

Maybe but they have a few cards they can play that can make Trump and republicans rethink strategies.

And I meant combat war as a response I know these countries are limited when to comes to utilizing trade tariffs but even then China and Russia have workarounds in if trade becomes difficult with US.
