If you get tattoos to look tough or be counter culture or something then that's not going to work.

People augmenting their appearance using lines, shapes and colors is not going to change.

Tattoos as a symbol of rebellion is over, but the art side of it ain't never gonna go anywhere.

Not having tattoos can be argued as an artistic expression in and of itself, but a thoughtful tattoo will be a more thoughtful expression than the lack of one.
