The real failure of the E was whatever happened in 2000 onward. Thats when they lost the majority of wrestling fans

Anybody that knows anything already knows why the stock went up and dropped, and it had nothing to do with the wrestlers.

90s ended and casual fans quit watching wrestling just like casual audience stopped watching jerry springer and South Park no longer got record breaking audiences. Also HHH.

I don't know the numbers with how much money was lost at the time, but I do know the entire world turned off WWE.
But the buying public didn't and they matter cause they brought merch :heh: Bryan didn't help bump the new tv deal up with his "'monster ratings " and notice how investors on conference calls asked about cm punk no calls about when dbry getting pushed. Bryan himself said to Rosenberg that there was no money to prove he deserved the top spot cause Cena sells house shows and punk sold merch ....him :patrice: he's alright but he needed commercials to sell his shirts not punk not Cena

Dudes are actually pimping the lowest drawing champ since Diesel :mjlol:

Facts:

The quarter when CM Punk was featured heavily (when he was paired with Heyman) is the lowest quarter since 1997.

CM Punk headlined PPVs in 2011 and 2012 did significantly less number wise than Bryan headlined PPVs (Bryan/Orton at NOC and HIAC did higher than the Survivor Series number and the title unification in late 2013.. that shows how invested fans were in him, Punk on the other hand, during his precious Summer of Punk, drew horrendous buyrates against Cena and HHH)

The Daniel Bryan headlined Mania is the most successful WrestleMania of all time.

Ratings the first month after Mania were higher then they were last year and the year before (when Punk was champ and RAW was 2 hours).

Vince became a billionaire when Bryan was the top babyface.

Bryan is second in merch sales despite not having nearly as much merch as Punk or Cena and having goats and beards plastered all over his gear.

Yet the wwe still ended up losing 750 million dollars...so what did he really do in the grand scheme of things?

Wasn't Booker T the face of WCW when it was dying? And wasn't Rhino that dude in ECW when it keeled over?

I wouldn't blame them for their company's financial woes. Why would I put this on DB. Hell, you might as well fold in Big Show and Orton for that matter.

In truth, Vince McMahon has made the same mistakes that we've seen from the AWA and WCW and countless other promotions. This time, though, he can't use the excuse that his rivals are at fault.

Due ain't handling business. He's lost his creative muse and his sense of competition.

He ain't doing right by his business.

.

Nope. You mean the casual viewers

It always boggles my mind how dudes could literally come outta nowhere, suddenly be a fan/watch every week/buy ppvs/go to shows/, then just disappear again with zero interest from there-on-out.

That's how pop culture works. You love that thing. Then EVERYBODY loves that thing. That thing is the HOT DAMN TICKET. Then people love something else. Then nobody loves that thing except the people who loved it before the boomtime, and they're kind of embarrassed of it.

(Add in that once it's popular, that thing - whatever it is - changes to be more accessible to the new audience. ANd that disgruntles the old guard.)

Fact network underperformed during Bryan's reign , fact wwe didn't double the tv deal during Bryan's run fact him and orton had a low ass ppv buy , fact Bryan needed commercials Pimping his stuff unlike punk and fact Bryan only got pushed cause of punk retiring

Gotta drop this CM Punk think, you're almost as bad as R=G is with bringing him up when he's not relevant. Punk hasn't been on WWE programming since the Royal Rumble. Let it go.
