Thing is, like Williams, Dupree seems better suited as a 4-3 DE than a 3-4 OLB. Sure he could play the latter like Mario, but can he be as effective in it as the former?

I like Bud though, and I'd take him in the late 1st if we traded down or in the 2nd if he is still available. Lorenzo Mauldin, Owamagbe Odighizuwa, Eli Harold, and Nate Orchard are all guys that I like in the 2nd as well.

This year's draft for pass rushers could be what last year's draft was for receivers

to me 4-3 DE and 3-4 OLB are totally interchangeable...he'd be fine at either spot. Our defense basically plays both a 4-3 and a 3-4 anyways

Completely disagree there. Most of the elite pass rushers can play both, but many can't.

A smaller guy (like Randy Gregory for example) would thrive as a 3-4 OLB where he can play in space and be able use his explosive first step and give lineman all kinds of trouble. But you put him as a 4-3 DE where he has to play with a hand in the dirt, and he'll get mauled on every player. Then you have bigger guys who can play with their hand in the dirt, but aren't fast enough to get around guys.

Not talking about guys like Mingo, Jordan or Gregory....

Dupree is 270 pounds with a 42 inch vert and 138 broad. He'll be fine wherever you line him up. Dupree checks out every category in terms of elite pass rusher.

Don't care, still want him. Weed doesn't scare me away :manny:

Just another reason we should trade down

it should considering he's admitted to being a habitual smoker. He's now flagged by the league for random tests....he's going to drop.
