It's essentially a 2 year $15 million deal...$7.5 each...

Yes that's a lot for Harris but its not terrible especially when you consider our cap situation...

We have such a incredible cap situation that we have to spend a certain amount this offseason and the cap will continue to rise...

The Harris contract is awful

The contract is necessary. We're paying Harris about market rate for above average LBs, which is what he is. We have no replacement either.

Id rather start a rookie than Harris tbh...I'm pretty disappointed in what we've done so far.

Thank god for tons of cap space. The $7.5 million cap number for Harris isn't bad in light of who was out there and there being no day 1 starter at ILB in the draft. Makes sense. At this point l, he's a mentor for a replacement next season I hope.

Breh... At this point, it seems like you just want something to be mad about... It was a fifth round draft pick... 5th round. How many 5th rounds picks have we, as a franchise, really hit on to the point where taking a proven performer like B Marsall is worse than who we could have drafted? Low risk-High reward. Plus, you're speaking as if the trade precludes us from drafting a WR in the first two rounds. All I see the B. Marsh trade is is as replacing Harvin. What's the problem? You said you're disappointed in what we've done so far, I'm guessing you liked the Idzik approach? Let's see where this goes. We have reason to be hopeful.

If this franchise is ever going to stop being a failure, we need to change the culture, and the fans have to do their part by not carrying around their pessimism like a bag of bricks . Just set those bricks down and enjoy the offseason. If these changes don't pan out, we'll all be back to b1tchin as usual.

You can't get the fake talk sports radio outrage from out trips system.

lol, the fan base put up a billboard last year. Im trying to enjoy what were doing, but I would have been much happier if Harris wasnt given another huge contract and we were signing a younger better receiver instead of a guy who has a bad hip and moonlights as an analyst.

This is Marshall's 4th team. Our QB situation is in no-mans land...if we were concerned about getting Geno his "weapinz" we'd have gone all in for Randall Cobb. This move just reeks of Woody trying to appease the billboard guys.

I'm saying. We haven't even drafted, practiced or played a game yet. What is there to be mad or down about? I'd be mad if this trade was possible and we didn't go for it, wiffed on receivers and marched Geno out there again with no receivers again. That's something to be mad about it.
All I'm saying @Trip is, let's give these guys a chance to fukk up before we get sour. We gave Idzik two years, we not going to give these guys two months?
We don't know that we're not going for Cobb though. We don't know anything yet. Free agency doesn't start til Tuesday if I'm not mistaken.

Im giving them time- where this team is at and adding an older receiver who's been a malcontent in the past just seems odd, that's all. Especially when there are younger guys hitting their primes available. Cobb is only 24.

I would love to go after Orlando Franklin or Mike Iupati at guard.

Alright, we'll see what happens here, all I'm just saying, this wasn't a bad move at all on their part. Not at all.
