Chandler Jones > Coples

"Jones only played in 10 regular season games in 2014 due to injury. He accumulated seven sacks, six QB knockdowns, 19 hurries and a pair of batted passes, giving him a 9.4 Pass Rushing Productivityscore. Despite missing time and being shut out in the first and last games of the year, he still achieved the highest pass rushing grade of any New England defender (+10.5). He was also the Patriots chief source of pressure on Joe Flacco in last week’s Divisional Round contest, generating 10 total pressures (three hits, seven hurries) while only one other Patriot had more than three pressures."
Jones is a better pass rusher. Who argued that?

He's horrible against the run.

Did you counter my belief? Did you dispel my point? :dahell:

Playing DE is only pass rushing?

That's nice and all, but Coples is here because the team thought he was a hybrid versatile guy who was supposed to do the stuff Jones is doing.

Turns out Coples is just a 4-3 run stuffing DE. He's one dimensional too.

I honestly don't think Mo is better than Colles of he remained at DT...and don't forfet...your dumb ass said Sheelson Richardson fell off. You're atrocious at times with your posts

relax there for a second. You think Coples is a better interior player that Wilkerson? Maybe more talent...if that's the case maybe Bowles recognizes that and tries to deal Mo.

Coples is not good on the outside...that's what we do know.
I would hope that Bowles keeps them both on and that he brings the best out of Coples. I think he's very talented and just hasn't been utilized to the best of his abilities. I want him on my team.

Jones is not a hybrid. Jones plays DE solely. Try to make a truthful point instead of a false one. Jones never played the 3 technique. We wasted Coples moving him to OLB.

I didn't say Jones was versatile. I said Coples was supposed to be doing the shyt Jones is. Whoever thought Coples could play outside fukked up, because this team needed linebackers, and they still do.

Coples would be fine as a hand in the ground DE. Bottomline, they simply play two different positions. The second Mo got hurt and tjeu moved Coples as a 3-5 hybrid...he started beasting. Not a coincidence and a result of mistakingly moving him as stand up OLB.

I don't see Jones having more talent than him at all

My previous post isn't a direct reply to your point. My reply to your point hence is that an efficacious pass rusher has more game-changing ability than an efficacious run-stuffer. Chandler's pass rushing play helped decide games for the Pats. Coples' run stuffing hasn't had the same effect. Why the discrepancy? Because Chandler's performances blow up the quarterback whereas Coples' performances blow up the runningback. Chandler is the more valuable player.

Are we talkkmg about a game or overall talent? I was focused on the latter. Chandlers performance is a result of a team allowing his one dimension to shine. Doesn't make him any more valuable.
