That sure as hell wasn't Rex. A good defensive coach schemes to the personnel he has. Rex never did that. As much as a disappointment as Coples is, Rex shoulda seen he's at his best as a 4-3 DE and change the defense to reflect that.

Who do you rank above Rex defensively? It's definitely not by a wide margin...do you think Quinn is gonna improve our defense that dramatically?

I mean I'm assuming well have better personnel but our issue has always been offense.

Correct. The issue is offense. Simply by giving a fukk about offense, Quinn or whoever will upgrade.

On a defensive standpoint, this is a 4-3 defense. Scheme around that base, and with the personnel here, learn to cut the cord. That shouldn't be an issue since there are no attachments to guys like Milliner, Coples, or Pryor.

Agree with the fact that just caring about offense makes Quinn a better coach than Ryan. I'd like to see our guys play in a 4-3 as well. It'd be interesting to see how we pull that off. I don't think coples is a bust. Just being asked to play outside of his position. Its a stretch. I think he has potential to be as good as Wilkerson or Richardson.

Why change to a 4-3 for one player when they habe multiple studs.
