Yes it's good to be educated on the background, but how times are the going remake the same documentary?

wow,fans tired of watching hiphop docs to learn a little info they might not know about but will watch the same hiphop videos on youtube being made over and over again and praise the shyt.

I'm not saying it hasn't evolved. But it hasn't really moved forward as an art form in a long time. It might have even de-evolved. I think the main reason is because most of the younger cats aren't really learning about the history. They don't care about it. If you don't learn about the past, how can you move forward from it? I am pretty sure that's what Ice-T is trying to do with this doc. Inform the youngins who aren't aware of the past culture, so that they can build on it to take a step forward.

I feel you on that. I think my annoyance come from my past experiences.

My pops was an oldschool DJ, I can't even count how many times as a lil nikka he's dug in his crates to play the Funky Four Plus One More record.

It was aight...

I just felt like I've seen/read most of the stuff said in the movie already... it wasn't a lot of ground that hasn't been covered already. It was a dope thing to put together tho'. I'd recommend it to someone younger who's starting to rap and really takes it seriously.
