TBH them dudes all know each other and hung out. Baby and p beefing robbed the city of classics that could've been made. My cousin is Raj Smoov and he did beats for both Camps. Used to tell me all the time how it wasn't nothing for someone from no limit to show love to CMR and vice versa. They all wanted to work with each other. They all grew up together. Mannie used to DJ for everybody back in the day. He has songs just sitting that he can't release from both Camps

@Alvin back in the day super Sundays was Mannie fresh DJ'n for the whole city. EVERYBODY loves Mannie. He has/had a house in Houston the call"the vault" because of unreleased music from everybody, including that short Def Jam visit he had

Can y’all describe what super Sunday was?

I always heard it in different songs from different NO artists about going to the lake on Sundays. I’m assuming Lake pontchartrain?

Were all the hoods welcome or did certain neighborhoods have certain Sundays they went?

My first time going down there I thought we were driving over the gulf because that shyt is big as hell.

It was the lakefront close to U.N.O. and a few other colleges where it was like neutral for everybody to meet, hang out, race, have a good time. The Mardi gras Indians be out and doing they thing. Other times from what I remember it was just a chill environment/atmosphere with no drama. Like it was frowned upon for bs to happen(even though sometimes it did) DJs would be out, local rappers would be there, car shows etc. It was a good time

I wonder if that first song was inspired by Hot Boy Jimmy hitting Mia X (O'Dell killed that beat too)

UNLV also said "im bout it" first, but P's song was bigger. Wayne's Go DJ was just the bigger song, I doubt CMR paid UNLV, unless UNLV sued for sample clearance.

At that time of his release, Wayne couldn't do no wrong, his squad tapes had dayum near made everybody a fan of this nikka including UNLV, they actually didn't say anything negative about it publicly. Maybe down the line, they may have thought they deserved something, but it wasn't nothing, just like when Juvi used Back that Thang Up that DJ Jubilee made famous.

Folks in the city, at least the many that I know in real time wasn't tripping on the usage, both songs at the time were good party starters and that's what folks took it for as that. Party Songs.
