No it doesn't. Snoop signing was huge.. Snoop first week sales on No Limit sold more than Jay Z volume 2 first week sales.. Cam is no comparison..
I would say that Nas FA signing would have been up there too, if it would have went through.
50 to Aftermath was big too
He probably thought Snoop would still do elite numbers and he did well but he never did Doggystyle numbers again. The reason why labels don’t do what P did is because return of investment matters. P had to be real cool with taking a big financial hit, but since his label deal was good, he could take a risk like Mystikal or Snoop.Snoop was ass on No Limit, lol. I mean, I know everyone online is a revisionist, but I was there taking it all in in real time (pause). That "Still a G thing" song was fresh but almost everything else was ass, "Lay Low" shouldn't even count as some Snoop No Limit shyt. There's a reason how got up outta there as soon as possible, I'm sure P lost more money than he made off Snoop.
nas was washed when he signed to def jam.
i wasnt sure if 50 cent counts as a free agent, since he never released anything on a major beforehand.

nikka for both of them it was their 3rd album.. WTF are you talking about. Cam came at the decline of Rocafella. Snoop came to No Limit in 97.. In their prime.but snoop's album received mostly bad reactions, and he really didnt improve their standing. in fact, they began to decline in '99 while the album was still being pushed.
camron & the dips bumped rocafella up into that goat conversation.
why are you comparing snoop's 1st week sales to jay volume 2?? snoop was already snoop and people were expecting him to bounce back with another doggystyle. meanwhile volume 2 is where jay began to become JAY-Z.
EDIT: LOL @ this lazy ass dude playing suge knight.
I’d count 50 because even though Power of the Dollar never dropped, he did have singles out on Columbia.nas was washed when he signed to def jam.
