In the 90s, and to be fair, those artists were use to getting money from a deal and maybe what P got was something they could not wrap their heads around and didn't believe T.C. when he maybe tried to explain to them in so many words the deal.
That's an interesting thing P said, that he didn't get any money, hearing it, it made sense. I actually thought that P got money outta the deal...
He sold 5% just to get 250k which was for promo and maybe a few albums to jump start off with
