1) Saturday is the All-American Bowl in San Antonio and the Buckeyes will have running back James Peoples, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, offensive lineman Ian Moore, defensive end Eddrick Houston and linebacker Garrett Stover playing in the game. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on NBC and Peacock and I’ll be posting a LIVE game thread for Bucknuts members to watch the game and talk about it here on the Bucknuts Front Row message board.
Ohio State signees quarterback Air Nolandand linebacker Payton Pierce were selected for the game but will not be playing tomorrow. Noland has been getting ready to start his Ohio State career and has been home in Georgia this week and will head north for Columbus this weekend while Pierce was injured in his final game for Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy High School and has been recovering. He will arrive in San Antonio today, but won’t play in the game on Saturday. Pierce will then head for Columbus this weekend to start his Ohio State career.

And that leads into item No. 2…
2) Pierce injured some ligaments in his foot in his final high school game and had a cast put on the foot and was told he would need a couple of months for it to heal. It is not a major injury and he will be good to go in a month or two.
3) Noland has been training and working out this week in Georgia. In fact, the other day, he was working out with former high school teammate Jelani Thurman. Noland’s focus has been on getting ready to start his Ohio State career next week and he heads for Columbus this weekend. Thurman is headed back to Columbus today. I am told it was an adjustment initially at Ohio State for Thurman being away from family and friends, but he is ready for a big second season at Ohio State. Thurman and Noland are good friends and both being at Ohio State will be good for the two. Thurman was back in Georgia working out the day after the Cotton Bowl.
4) Speaking of the All-American Bowl, two huge Ohio State 2025 targets, cornerback Devin Sanchez and defensive end Christopher Burgess Jr. will be announcing their decisions at the All-American Bowl on Saturday. Long ago I Crystal Balled Sanchez to Ohio State. In the case of Burgess Jr., for quite some time, I have said this is a tough battle between Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan. I still think one of those three will be Burgess’s announcement on Saturday and if I had to make a prediction, I would go with Notre Dame.
5) I had the news on Saturday that Alabama center Seth McLaughlin was flying up to Ohio State yesterday morning for his official visit with the Buckeyes. That visit will conclude today. McLaughlin is also supposed to visit at least Ole Miss before making his decision. I am told McLaughlin has been talking a lot about Ohio State and really looking forward to this visit with the Buckeyes. While I'm not making a prediction on McLaughlin at this point, I would not bet against the Buckeyes.
6) The Buckeyes also hosted Troy State offensive lineman Derrick Graham on an official visit earlier this week. Graham has had a schedule of visiting four schools in five days and has been continuing his visits with the other schools being Pitt, Texas A&M and Missouri, with the visits in that order and scheduled to end on Saturday. Here is a short quote from Graham on his Ohio State official visit:
"It went really well,” Graham said. "The city was cool."
7) And finally for today, I recently had an article on Miami of Ohio defensive end/edge Caiden Woullard being in the Transfer Portal and being interested in Ohio State. The 6-foot-5, 252-pound Woullard is one of the top edge players in the portal. He made 41 tackles, including 9 ½ sacks and 12 tackles for loss this season. Many schools reached out to Woullard and among those that have offered him a scholarship are Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas A&M, Kansas, Mississippi State, Minnesota and Indiana. Woullard visited Oklahoma and committed to the Sooners last night. He told me he canceled all of his visits and was supposed to visit Ohio State, but just felt like Oklahoma was a great fit for him.
