Need him to make that leap. Him and Cody should be elite at lb.
Damn Smitty, we have to get you out of that avi soon .Sone tidbits

1) The Transfer Portal remains a hot topic and practices at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio began today. Let’s start with the All-American Bowl practices. By all accounts, Ohio State wide receiver signee Jeremiah Smith had a very, very impressive first day. Here are comments from 247Sports' Tom Loy and Cooper Petagna:
“Jeremiah is ranked the No. 1 player in America and rightfully so,” Tom Loy said after today’s practices. “Our rankings team absolutely nailed this one. He’s polished, smooth, makes things look effortless. I joked with some of our team that he could have stepped in and played in either semifinal matchup Monday night and he would have shined. Exceptional talent that’s different than just about every one of his peers.”
“Nation's No. 1 WR Jeremiah Smith making quick work of Michigan State signee Justin Denson in one on ones. Smith, physically, is advertised,” 247Sports Cooper Petagna said.

Now let’s move to item No. 2…
2) Linebacker Payton Pierce has an injury and is not practicing at the All-American Bowl. He will be in San Antonio on Friday, but is not expected to play in the game on Saturday. Quarterback Air Noland is also not in San Antonio and isn’t playing in the game. You can check out some video clips here of Smith, Eddrick Houston and Ian Moore from today's practices. In particular, Houston had a very good first day and Moore did well too.
3) Former 5-star offensive tackle Lance Heard who signed with LSU and played in 12 games this season for the Tigers but was not a starter, entered the Transfer Portal today. I have been asked about Ohio State in connection with Heard, but I am not to expect there to be a match there. Two schools that I have heard mentioned in connection with Heard are Ole Miss and possibly Alabama.
4) Ohio State defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Jim Knowles reached out to USC linebacker Tackett Curtis when he entered the Transfer Portal two weeks ago. Curtis is keeping things very quiet, but I am told Florida State is a possible visit. I am also told Curtis remains interested in the Buckeyes and there is some mutual interest, but I don’t think it is particularly likely he ends up at Ohio State.
5) I’ve been asked about Purdue defensive end Nic Scourton who is one of the top players in the Transfer Portal. Scourton is from Bryan, Texas and the school I am hearing him in connection with the most is Texas A&M. The other school I am hearing him connected to at this point is Florida State.

Somebody proposed an interesting scenario. If you had a light commit to Howard but it was before lil breh from Liberty became available, would you embrace your inner savage and tell Howard "hol up" basically. I know I would if I like what I saw + lil breh can run for his life just in case this line don't get it together ctfu
I'm told by an excellent source it is merely a formality at this point. Quarterback Will Howard is transferring to Ohio State. Expect this to become official tomorrow or Friday at the latest.
As for Devin Brown, the staff has made it clear to him and his family that they want him to stay at Ohio State. They still believe he can play at OSU. It will be Brown's decision on what to do. Regardless, Kienholz and Noland will be here. If Brown does transfer, they will look to bring in a depth piece via the portal at QB (a Gebbia, Chugs type).
In addition, I'm hearing a lot of good things about guys coming back. Sounds like JT is on the fence to some degree, maybe Donovan Jackson too. However, certain guys that I would have predicted at the beginning of the season would pro early (Denzel Burke, Tyleik Williams, Emeka Egbuka, TreVeyon Henderson and others) are very likely staying I'm told.
Everyone inside the WHAC is frustrated by the way the season ended, but they feel a lot of good news is coming in the near future.
Time to talk myself into this innit? I see what the bloke Day is on now
Baby Josh Allen it is
Howard is just a better placeholder until Air is ready . Don't let me find out that Day be chillin in Union or Licking County during his free time .
