Precisely! The support personnel was just not good enough to match or stop what the Cavs role players were doing. Thibs had a very thin rotation to work with, especially with Gasol being out games 4 and 5. The Bulls FO has to be accountable for this and they have to make things right by retooling this team this off-season.
I dont think you can hang it on 1 or the other.
Thibs needs some blame, front office needs some blame
Bottom line is, this was the year to win it all and both parties blew it. Thibs could have went with the best line ups and adjusted, gar pax should have provided better players. We have seen mediocre offensive coaches still win titles if the players can figure some things out themselves. So not having the personnel in thst case falls on gar pax, allowing opportunity to pass you up to get good players on the market and making deals that set the team up to succeed is on gar pax,
But continuing to play kirk hinrich with 2 clearly better options on the bench, etwan and snell is all on the coach. Putting line ups on the floor that made a bad defense like the cavs easy to defend cause they can leave 2 guys wide open and not worry about getting hurt by that, that is on thibs.
Thibs and gar pax should know this would be the weakest cleveland will ever be at least for the next few seasons and should have moved accordingly. Standing pat when all season the team looked lethargic and not prepared is on gar pax. Continuing to be stubborn with a game plan that is not working , that is all on thibs.
