Cuban is bound to land someone unless things have changed players like playing for him. If I were him I'd do 1-2 year contracts for my guys and move Dirk, Marion if possible and sign some free agents for a short contract.

So Dallas fans What should Dirk do?

On one hand he can stay and show loyalty to The city of Dallas and just pretty much waste away his last 2 years on the contract.

Or

Ask for a trade and possibly goto a team with a chance to win another title.

Or He could Retire, but I don't think he's ready to do that yet

But ask yourself as a Dallas Fan and a Dirk fan would/could you really get upset if Dirk decided to leave?

I'm torn between this cause Man Dirk has been Dallas Mav's B-ball, But at the same time would you really want your superstar to basically going through the motions for 2 more years?:to:

I personally want to see Dirk retire as a Maverick and never leave the franchise. That just does not happen in this era anymore, and after Dirk/Kobe retire it's probably not going to happen but once a decade now.

However, I'd rather just tear everything up than to continue to pin our hopes on a major free agency acquisition. The front office has been trying to make this happen ever since they realized that Dampier's contract was attractive to teams looking to ditch salary or stuck trying to negotiate sign and trade agreements, and it hasn't worked out the way they planned either time. Trade Dirk and hit bottom like Cuban always said he would. Or tread water in the 7-12 range of the West we find ourselves in right now. Just stop holding money to the side for guys who never said they wanted to play here.

you guys should sign Sessions, claim Brand off waivers, and use this as a time to get your young prospects some burn. 2013 draft sucks.

I would feel bad for y'all but the mavs still have the greatest owner/gm in the nba and y'all at least got a ship last year.

:to: Thanks breh, but our owner is great, the GM, Donnie Nelson, only got that job because of his father

Donnie n Cuban actually put a decent team together on paper :manny:

By the All-Star break it seem like ppl will realize Cuban was once again playing chess with the rest of the owners out there. Mark my words :myman:

Went from :why: to :ehh: in about a day. Fleecing Indiana for Collison was nice, since we haven't had a young starting PG in about 5 years. I'm not high on Chris Kaman but I know Dirk loves the guy, and he can knock down 15 foot jumpers. Don't want Elton Brand, but Elton off the bench could be a good thing. I do want Luis Scola though. Picking him up at least makes us a 6-8 seed on paper.
