I remember reading somewhere in here years ago.. A black woman pointed out that all the black characters are usually Beastly or deformed/inhuman in a way... There's never anybody just a regular looking Black man being great .

Creature feature horror movies are structured around analogs of Black men as indomitable monsters that must be vanquished by white protagonists beginning with Birth of a Nation. That’s over 100 years ago. Cinema as an industry filled out and genres borrowed from one another over this time; building off themes and depictions of past films. So even in “innocuous” things in genres like Sci-fi & fantasy continued these inhuman depictions of Black people and sometimes other races as well. Perhaps not as monsters, but def not as humans and for damn sure not leads. They make sure every production they got a leading white man some white homies and a lead white woman counterpart all human but the sidekicks or enemies be robots, aliens, humanoids, etc.

People always joke about Piccolo being Black
The original Alien in Aliens was a Brehfrican. Same in Predator and a lot of other horror movies. King Kong based on Jack Johnson illustrious Boxing and Pawging careers. And many many more.

Look at the casting of your favorite animated shows. A lot of the non-human characters voiced by Black people. A lot of them including Martian Manhunter were voiced by Phil Lamar lol but still.

Not a coincidence by any stretch and very much so a pattern.
