As much as we all wanted Witt out, I don't see much difference between him and Brooks sometimes. Especially end-of-game strategy. Everybody in the gym knows a Wall iso is coming up.

We all knew he was the same exact coach but had the luxury of having 2 top 10 players. Not making excuses for Brooks because he has been terrible but honestly our roster is fukking trash

With 15 home games played (the highest number of home games for any team so far this season) the Wizards now have the lowest attendance since ESPN began tracking that stat in the 2000/2001 season.

The team that year:

Courtney Alexander
Calvin Booth
Hubert Davis
Obinna Ekezie
Richard Hamilton
Juwan Howard
Popeye Jones
Gerard King
Christian Laettner
Felipe Lopez
Tyrone Nesby
Cherokee Parks
Laron Profit
Mitch Richmond
Michael Smith
Mike Smith
Rod Strickland
David Vanterpool
Loy Vaught
Jahidi White
Chris Whitney

That's right, this rag tag group of has beens and never was's had a better attendance record than Grunfeld's 14th year anniversary roster.

The Wizards Are Dead, Ernie Grunfeld Has Killed Them
Thanks to the mess Grunfeld has made of the team and its contract commitments, [a new] GM would take one look at the roster and realize that the most depressing, dispiriting possible move is also the most logically sound one: trading away Wall, who has two years left on a below-market deal and is both older and more valuable than the rest of what passes for the Wizards’ sexy players. This assumes Grunfeld won’t have done it already by then.

So many truths spoken in this article. I canceled my NBA TV subscription for the year already. Holding my breath until we see this dumpster fire blown up.

I would hope a new GM doesn't trade a 26 year old John Wall.

His inconsistent defense aside, he's not the problem.

The problem is the crappy bench with which they wasted so much money on

The Mahinmi deal is horrible. Gortat may not be great but he's a better player. Wasting that money is devastating. And I can't think of teams desperate for a C right now.

Jason Smith was such an unnecessary signing. Ochefu would do a better job and he's an undrafted rookie.

Nicholson as it turned out is also terrible. Luckily his contract isn't crippling.

Trey Burke and Marcus Thornton are free agents, thank God. I KNEW they were terrible.

Sato and Oubre I think will turn out better in time. Sato's issue is he isn't assertive yet and his shot needs work.

I'm with you on 100% what you said. If I were Brooks I'd play Oubre, Sato, and McClellan as many minutes as I can for the experience.

EDIT: McClellan is in the D-League.
