If you didn't live through the Wes Unseld era as a bright eyed optimistic kid then I have no sympathy for you

Do you know how glorious the prospect of a 43 win season was back then?

Get in line

I watched Chris Webber get traded

One of the worst moments as a kid I had :mjcry:

I was hurt. Saw him playing ball at the Gold's Gym that he owned in Beltway Plaza that summer after the trade was announced. Mad people were gathered around the glass to get one last look at C Webb.

We saw Lethal Weapon 4 that day so it eased the pain. Seeing Jet Li for the first time :whoo: :banderas:

do you remember Juwan Howard being listed as "Miami Heat Forward" in SI For Kids? :mjcry:

fukk

edit: i hated him so much for signing with miami, then that arbitration that went the bullets' way was like a godsend

then of course they blew their future on him and i hated him again

i just wiki'd him and saw his mom kept him a drawer at his grandma's house for the first two weeks of his life, and he was a Parade and McDonald's all american at a school with an unheated gym and no locker room :ohhh: i think he's my favorite player again

i remember because they interviewed him about it on the channel 4 the day Howard signed with the Heat.

This is why Ernie Grunfeld keeps his job. Made moves on the offseason for Andrew Nicholson (bum, now traded), Trey Burke (:francis:bum) and Jason Smith (:manny:he aight). And now gets Bochan Chicken Bogdanavic :blessed:and now Brandon Jennings :jawalrus: to make that bench look playoff ready.

Judges still out on Kelly Oubre:patrice:(still too young could be a decent starting 3 but doubtin it; not confident enough) and Tomas I am Starsky :beli:

Bochan and Jennings going be another few years of ernie
