No beat screams "early 2000s" like this one

if radio and TV weren't consolidated, they wouldn't even be playing the same trash so we'll forget

some artists took trash beats and did wonders with them, but others didn't come out as hot

i can understand that if it's an r&b track, it has to be in the background to not get in the way of the singing

...just posting generic sounds from that era

^ added generic road rage car horns and called it a beat :dead:

Great post. You can tell all these songs were designed to copy other, better hit songs of the era.

Also how creepy is the Lil Bow Wow track? Hes like 10 there and a bunch of 30 yr old video vixens want to take him home?

AZ' albums are filled with those kind of tracks, at least 2 per album

This was the phase when he was talking a lot before the track like Jay:

so incredible, it's AZ, it's the boy, we are so blessed

There's another one on that album, that has like the craziest multi's on the most cliched subject, terrible beat, it's so bad. But I used to fukk with it. nothing like nostalgia.

Yeah I like the album overall, although some of the beats sucked. Hustler was the best track.

I listened to Ho Happy Jackie right after. That song is ridiculous with the flow and the wordplay, even though the subject matter is meh. There was a point when he was one of the best rappers out. I mean he pretty much had the best verse on Illmatic.

AZ fans are so ridiculous...just ignoring the blatantly ABHORRENT songs on his albums, and talking purely about skills...I never wanna hear about nas' ear for beats or hooks while AZ is alive

That's that Rugrats theme music vibe producers ran with back for a minute. TBH I'm indifferent about it.

This shyt was trid-dash.

In general you nikkaz missed.
out not listening to juice in this era.

As he had way better production and way better rhymes than this bullshyt. From this era and the low quality watermark bullshyt.
y'all in general championed as imaginary dope.

shyt hilarious lol at the shyt y'all spun and actually liked. Onkly reason you nikkaz saying bullshyt now.
is you have mass fan exodus.
to hide behind like some cowards.

Y'all need to stfu. Y'all like..
No,..y'all love this low quality goof lame bullshyt and need to be quiet.

Y'all are why mid is acceptable right. Ow. Stop fronting.

nikkaz talking like they was writing reviews and getting props.

when the general you in general were not.
If so bring up your actual reviews.
As you know damn well y'all in general.
not cult followed to even even cosign nikkaz.
all of a sudden now trying to front.
Stop it..
Y'all nikkaz faking the funk and never even heard the record.

I feel like that AZ track was based on Poke & Tone's 'Fiesta'. Another sound that was good for one song with the latin vibe, then everybody tried to copy.

You tweaked't.

This and I'm gonna love you by eve.
are close to the standard bearer quality markers for this sonic landscape and style of production of this era.

This is my contribution, I'll admit I was playing this, trying to convince myself this was fire, I was 15 lol

"Bullets is bisexual cause they hit niccas and bytches" :russ:

Honestly I'm cool with the beat it's the hook that is wild corny to me.

"I'm a gangstaaaaa. I'm a thuuuuuug
shaq.png
" :laff:

Also I'm just now realizing that Parlé was a whole group and not one individual, all these years I thought the backing vocalists were just that.
