My era
if radio and TV weren't consolidated, they wouldn't even be playing the same trash so we'll forget
some artists took trash beats and did wonders with them, but others didn't come out as hot
i can understand that if it's an r&b track, it has to be in the background to not get in the way of the singing
...just posting generic sounds from that era
^ added generic road rage car horns and called it a beat
AZ' albums are filled with those kind of tracks, at least 2 per album
This was the phase when he was talking a lot before the track like Jay:
so incredible, it's AZ, it's the boy, we are so blessed
There's another one on that album, that has like the craziest multi's on the most cliched subject, terrible beat, it's so bad. But I used to fukk with it. nothing like nostalgia.
AZ fans are so ridiculous...just ignoring the blatantly ABHORRENT songs on his albums, and talking purely about skills...I never wanna hear about nas' ear for beats or hooks while AZ is aliveAZ' albums are filled with those kind of tracks, at least 2 per album

I fukkING HATE THIS BEAT
That's that Rugrats theme music vibe producers ran with back for a minute. TBH I'm indifferent about it.
You tweaked't.
This and I'm gonna love you by eve.
are close to the standard bearer quality markers for this sonic landscape and style of production of this era.

I feel like that AZ track was based on Poke & Tone's 'Fiesta'. Another sound that was good for one song with the latin vibe, then everybody tried to copy.
Yeah thats a genius beat. Swizz had a mind of his own for sure.
choose any song on this soundtrack
This is my contribution, I'll admit I was playing this, trying to convince myself this was fire, I was 15 lol
