Nah, Gabe Kidd gets it. He needs a bit more breadth to his personality eventually, but the NJPWer Than Thou thing is over with the Japanese crowd. He teased babyface after a G1 match and they were ready for it then he shyt on them and it went right back to heat.
If he can smooth out his style to where he's not injuring multiple people each year he could be a thing. He'd slot in well in the Death Riders for me

Feel like Take has to win especially after his G1 performance and that's also the reason Hobbs didn't beat him. Take as international champ with 2 belts would be huge. Prolly do more with both than Mercedes has. Of course that's more on the njpw and no women's division than Mercedes herself.

He's way more than that. The core of his act is that he's a Nottingham chav who moved to Japan and became a truer disciple of the NJPW Dojo than all the Japanese students he came up with. He started off as a typical vanilla babyface and they did nothing with him, so he joined Bullet Club and let his inner-Shottingham shine... the more violent and offensive he's become, the more success he's seen.
He's cut some decent promos about it this year and last.
It has involved a lot of calling people's mum's whores and shytting on promotions though, I'll give you that.
