all he tried to do was what a lot of nikkas wont do. make money and put it back in to the location he grew up to try and help. instead of running to the white neighborhood and not giving a fukk. it is hella hard to see this happen to someone that thought about the bigger picture and still gets punished by his own community. it makes the argument against staying in the hood to build it up weaker. i hate that i even have that thought in my head now because of this!

i hate that its people out there that cant even appreciate when someone is trying to uplift and instead want to murder and harm. most of all it makes me think of all my friends and family that were killed over gang shyt and all the potential stolen. a so cal native that preached ownership, giving back to your community, and wasn't on some hoe shyt about it. dude was a special individual and this news fukked my whole day up.

His death has me so shook. Definitely supposed to be taking a break from here, for my mental, but tbh I can't help but post about this, because it's got me feeling so sad today.

I'm so sad for Lauren London. I'm praying for her to get through this and his family too. He did so much for his community.

Plus, I just watched the GQ interview the other-day.
I really liked his music(and that's saying a lot for me, because I don't really listen to hip-hop that much these days) and he just seemed like a positive, good dude. I don't know what else to say, that hasn't already been said, but RIP. Sending prayers to his family.

I swear....whenever you have a tragedy like this, it can bring out the absolute worst in people; especially our people. Based on some of the stuff I've read, I couldn't help but feel a sense of shame. Regardless if you were/weren't a fan of his music, it takes nothing more than a few secs to express condolences and leave it alone. That's not elevating him to "Godhood" status--that's being a decent human being. Instead, people will continuously say his work in the community should be canceled out based on some shyt he retweeted yrs ago, or what he was doing when he was heavy in the gang life. It seems like no matter what you do to progress in this life, as a Black Man, you'll always be judged by your past harder than anyone else will.

For real man we a lot closer than people realize...I check out-of-towners every time they start on the Black vs. Mexican shyt. A lot of of the fighting is straight up street shyt or ignorance...in my hood in Long Beach Blacks and Mexicans were almost the same thing cuz we all dressed the same, listened to the same music, and etc but when they went home they ate tacos and we ate collard greens.I remember we had a big as riot at school and it was Black and Mexicans vs. the Paisa ass fools that started crap with everyone.
