RIP MR. SMOKE
That wasn't how Nip wanted to live though. Nipsey always wanted to remain accessible to his community. He always wanted the kids to feel like they could come up and touch him. If he was rolling with a team of security guards, he would lose that connection he had with the people. He never wanted there to be a distance. That's why the city rode for him the way they did. Cause they truly loved him.Stop with what breh? Nip had more than enough money for security but that needed to be utilised more than ever if you gonna be posted up in the hood any day of the week.
You think you could just walk up to Jay-Z without being met with 3-4 brolic ass dudes ready to pat you down?.....hell nah. Jay walks around with a small world around him. And that's exactly what nipsey never wanted. If he traveled with an army now all of those kids would feel too nervous to approach him. Now he never gets the chance to inspire a kid who can change the world. It's one thing to listen to the music. But it's a totally different type of inspiration when a kid can actually touch you and feel your energy in person.
Nipsey wasn't stupid. He was very in tune with his own energy and also the energy around him. He knew by making himself accessible to the positive people he was also making himself accessible to the negative. He knew the dangers. But in his mind the risk was worth the reward. And the way the world has celebrated him after he passed, it's obvious he made the right choice. He died at 33 but he inspired millions. And that's the way to go when you really think about it. He lived to inspire the minds of the future. Who cares about dying old when you inspire nobody?....that shyt's lame. Nipsey vowed to never change and he remained true to that promise until his very last breath. That's why we just have to come to terms with it and celebrate his life now. Carry on his legacy and make sure when you die you get the same reception.
