You missed the point of what he's saying, how fukked up the system is that someone gets locked up trying to move forward in their life after doing a bid by building and connecting with an old friend and pillar of the community (not just some "banger" as the police clearly recognized publicly in their press conference). It's not just about the technical reason how he violated.

Could interpret what Nip is saying in relation to having a parental influence to join the 60s though .. he mentions his parents and his grand parents etc .. he just might be speaking from his own perspective and not Sams
