I was really feeling some kind of way until I realized what I had to do to help get over this loss. I had to go to ground ZERO. I'm from the same Hood as Nip but I moved to the valley with the wife and kids years ago. I still have fam that lives minutes from the store and I just copped a Slauson T-shirt from the store a couple months ago. Yesterday I went to the store and the sheer amount of respect from everyone was mind-blowing. I got to chop it with a homie that was actually there minutes after it happened before the ambulance got there. He showed me video from his phone and it was SAD. But now that I went to pay my respects and see that it's REAL I feel better. RIP to the homie Naybah60d Nip

Yeah... but all deals aren't the same. I remember Ross trying to get him on Atlantic as well when he was rumored to be linking up with MMG and it fell through. In that pic with the credits, it also has his label listed, so it's not clear what kind of partnership/deal he had then.

Whatever he had years ago with Atlantic probably wasn't the same agreement they had prior to Victory Lap's release. He was pretty open about it on this interview, he pretty much broke down all his "deals" and history dealing with labels...

The MMG rumors were around 2012 and he just wound up signing straight with Atlantic. It was a partnership situation just like many artists with leverage do. He had the same agreement then that's why he only released all those short, typically one verse, loosie songs from 2015 up until Victory Lap was finally released.

You just gotta come to the realization that people don't tell the whole truth when pushing certain narratives.

2. Get away driver OF A Homicide scene let go of, without having to speak ill of the murderer or be used against him.
3. Repeat offender and documented gang member, gets bail in a homicide case. THEN gets bail lowered.
4. Gets blessed with a former D. A. prosecutor as his attorney.

It's been like a week and still not sitting right.

Part that really has me question life in general is that a man can come from nothing, change his life, become an inspiration and motivation to the people, and work so hard to bring his dream of buying his block back just to be taken out and kicked in the head while he's down by a nikka named shytty Cuz who probably ain't worked a day in his shoulda been aborted life. The fukk part of the game is that. Monumental and senseless loss

That’s the way I feel about it. And it makes me feel shytty because you can strive, have plans and set goals but can be taken out by someone with nothing to give to the world. I mean I think we all knew that but this has been a horrific reminder that will stick with me for life. Some things I’ve been putting off I’ve decided to handle now because tomorrow really isn’t promised.
