The streets were never going to catch that nikka before the police.

The state can put dozens of cops on a manhunt, track your cell signal, access surveillance footage anywhere, freeze your finances, figure out who you know and who knows you... and that’s just light work.

All nikkas in the street can use is word of mouth and whatever manpower is available.

Street nikkas have to already know where you are before they can touch you. Police will just use their abundant resources to find you.

However, ol boy is fukked now that he’s caught and nikkas can get to him. They’re going to keep him in solitary confinement until his trial cause otherwise he’s dead.

Not really..

He was found less than 15 minutes away from the Versace mansion broke and almost starved to death. Technology just wasn’t as advanced back then.

He was still be tracked by wanted posters..

Breh, Versace was the last body he caught in a long list. Versace wasn’t just the bigger name but he bodied a prominent real estate developer who everyone knew in the Chicago area. After that the feds were looking for him and he killed Versace over 2 months later Plus he killed someone in between that. He knew what he was doing. 5 bodies he caught in one year.

LAPD learned from the BIG case, and wanted to get this shyt done quick...

Well there were a dirty cops in BIG’s case and legit investigating that case would’ve brought the LAPD down completely. BIG sadly was just a footnote in all of that, which sucks. They will never close that case.

Sorry y'all I didn't post it earlier because I hella forgot but, I wish Nipsey did what mozzy did, move out the city before something happens to you. Mozzy knew half the city wants his head so he got out (he does things I don't agree with but I'm not gone talk about that) Anyways tho I applaud Nip for staying true to his roots but he could've went about it in a better way

Also fukk these government illuminati believing ass nikkas y'all hella irritating fr and fukk these damn out of state Crip nikkas. On a Kev Mac interview Nip said he don't respect y'all for claiming Cali streets if y'all ain't been to the LAnd

That and I think Nip was genuinely respected by law enforcement and politicians alike in a manner that I've never really seen before. Usually, in cases like these, there's a lot of underhanded disrespect; But, I haven't seen too much, if any of that in Nip's case. Like someone said, I don't think people will understand the gravity of this whole situation until further down the line. I can't think of another artist, or man, who will move like he did for both the community and the "culture".

It's standard and almost cliche for other famous folk to post about him now and give their well wishes to him and his family, but the scope that they're doing it and the stories that everyone is sharing feels genuine. I haven't seen someone like Nip touch everybody in some form or fashion from a random electrician, to Slauson Bruce, to other rappers/actors/ballplayers, etc. Like, nikkas is legitimately writing essays about my guy and that shyt is bittersweet because although I'm sure they FELT that way about him when he was here, I'm sure he didn't realize how much he impacted a lot of people's lives from afar and up close and personal. Couple all of that with the fact that brah was actually from LA, I'm sure it's ten times all of these feelings on the left coast.

It's 2019. Not 1997. It's not hard to see why this went smoother than the Biggie thing. There was surveillance video of the shooting online within an hour of it happening. There were people on social media dry snitching immediately. Not to mention the actual snitches who no doubt called into LAPD. Not to mention those who were paid by TMZ to reveal info.

It's hard to explain this people not from LA. I'm 37 so seeing how Nip reached out to cats from other sets was good to see.

You got a YouTube link for that Schoolboy Q embrace? I saw it on here years ago (think it was filmed at Power106?) but can't find it.

Yeah, it was up at 106. Look like DJSourmilk or whatever the fukk his name is cleansed his Instagram (where I think it originated from) as far as anything before 2017 and the vid was from 2014 so that shyt lost unless he decide to post it again prob. Or unless somebody else saved it.
