I got put on nipsey a year or two after i finished university... 2008..2009

I was lost during my mid twenties... Job to job, hustle to hustle... Degree wasn't doing much... Trying to balance earning a living, while taking care of my parents... Had to put my dreams on hold... Nip held me through that

When I got married.. Got a stable job.. Decided to pursue my dreams.. Study for the lsat... Got into a great law school... Nip held me down

Three years of law school, plus ten month clerkship... 60-70 hour weeks.. Working two jobs on the side so I wouldn't have debt... And still graduated top 5% of my class.. Nip held me down

When I got multiple offers from the top firms in the country.. And I turned it down... Why... Cuz I wanted to start my own practice... Nip put that motivation in Me

Afghan kid, fam escaped two wars to come to Canada, grew up in west end Toronto .. Public housing and welfare... I would've killed a man to have a chance to earn six figures on Bay street, top firms in the country

But I wanted to build my own shyt. Launched my practice in Jan.. Three months in.. Im getting calsl, emails, hustling, the work is coming in...

All money in, no middle man shyt

I have a closing today... On my way to the other lawhers office now... Got a closing tom... Another on the 11th...five in May... Two in June so far... Blessings

I get in the car, I got NIp playing... Tears coming down my face bruh.. Mans got glasses on... Gotta regain my composure

RIP. Saw a clickbait news article about rapper getting shot & killed and thought it woulda been one of these newer rappers. This one hurts a lot.

First started listening/following Nipsey back in '08 when Game co-signed a bit before "They Roll" dropped and before Bullets vol.2 mixtape dropped. Pretty sure I talked with him and someone from his team on some forum. First forum where I heard about him was some BlackWallStreet forum (Game's "label"), then ofc Dubcnn forums, and also that horrible tthisizgame site.

shyt, now that I think about it Nipsey might have had a similar site/forum to that thisizgame site/forum. SlausonBoyz.ning.com or something. That's probably where I interacted with him/his team.

I never really stopped listening to his music but I did play Bullets-mixtape series more than his newer music. Had to buy Victory Lap cd when it finally dropped though because it felt like I was really low-key part of the journey.

shyt is too sad....

How did they shoot this man six times, including in the face, plus still have time to shoot two other people, and nobody was able to see anything?
