These nikkas too stuck in their ways
I know we long overdue, but is we ready for change?
And stand under one flag like an army brigade
It's time to put the duece duece down and pick up a K
And if we banging on some black shyt
Lets ride for the dead homies
Get the burners for Malcom and Natt Turner
Talking to them other nikkas
Yea, my so called enemies
We don't own one block
We live and die for these city streets
And even though the pain run deeper
Real nikkas know it's time to make peace

This one has me saddened. I heard the news an hour after it happened and I've been reflective ever since. I can't remember the last rap death that bothered me this much. Especially in a genre where we're used to rappers lives being cut short violently. I still remember the 1st tkme I heard Nip. I first watched the Hussel In The House music vid back in 2009 and I remember thinking how dope it was that they sampled the Kriss Kross "Jump Jump" beat. And I remember thinking "This tall crip reminds me of a light skinned snoop". I've been a fan of him since then. He was the new westcoast. This one has me pretty bummed. I feel bad for Lauren London. I honestly can't remember the last hip hop death that has me this bummed. Maybe its because I remember the beginning of his career and remember my first reaction to his music as opposed to other rappers I've listened to later on.

Hopefully this wasn't gang related or related to any of the infamous rival sets of the 60's(8treys, 40's or whoever else in that area doesn't get along with them). LA brethren, keep me posted. @ItsMeButters , @Splakavellie504 , @Serious @calixprynce @Cali_livin

I'm 32 and never been sad about a single rapper dying, I'm around so much death in my personal life it's crazy.

This is different tho, because I see alot of myself in dude, and also what I wanna be in the future in terms of giving back more, and being more of a leader.

In a strange way it's almost like seeing myself get killed .

To me personally this dude was special, this nikka had the juice.

We lost a real leader today.
